Neeson Helps Save New York City’s Carriage Campaign

Irish actor Liam Neeson supports his campaign to save horse-driven carriages in New York City by writing a positive supportive column in a newspaper.
Famous actor is a longtime opponent of those who desire to put away popular tourist attraction and replace it with vintage cars. His reason goes to drivers who will lose their jobs and livelihoods.
Therefore, he has recently invited New York City Major Bill De Blasio to visit the stables where they keep the horses in order to see that they are not being mistreated. However, the politician turned the offer down.
The actor has taken further actions to make him visit the stables by writing an elaborate column in the New York Times.
He wrote in the article, “It has been my experience, always, that horses, much like humans, are at their happiest and healthiest when working. Horses have been pulling from the beginning of time. It is what they have been bred to do…”

I urge Mr. de Blasio to meet the working men and women whose jobs are at stake and to start a dialogue that will safeguard a future for the horses that the majority of New Yorkers want.”
