Hilary Duff Landed First TV Series Role In Over A Decade

Actress and singer Hilary Duff has now landed her first important role on a new U.S. comedy series, which was created by the man behind Sex and the City.
The actress, a 26-year old, will reportedly appear in Younger, a series presenting a 40-year old single mother who becomes friends with Hilary’s character. The mother will be portrayed by Tony Award-winner Sutton Foster.
Executives at America’s TV Land Network has ordered 12 episodes of the show. The show is produced by Darren Star, who produced Sex and the City series, which launched Sarah Jessica Parker to stardom.
This show will be Hilary’s first full-time TV role since 2004, when her show Lizzie McGuire ended.
The actress had several cameos on TV including a role on hit series Gossip Girl.
On March 28, 2014, Duff confirmed through her Instagram profile that she had signed a new record deal. However, which record company she signed to was yet not revealed.
She has also recently uploaded a picture on Instagram confirming that she has recorded a possible duet for a song titled “Night Like This”. The song is produced by Ian Kirkpatrick, whom she worked with on the song “Outlaw”.
Duff will also appear in her sister Haylie’s new lifestyle webshow, Real Girl’s Kitchen. The show includes recipes from Haylie and gives viewers an insight on how they spend their free time with family and friends. It is available on Ora TV beginning April 2014.
