Planetary superstar Beyoncé has been hit with a lawsuit from two people who claim to have been trampled during her Mrs. Carter Show concert in Chicago, Illinois, in 2013.

Raquel Castellanos and Gabriella Davidson filed the documents in Cook County Circuit Court on Tuesday, April 1st. Their lawsuit is against the star, event promoters at Live Nation and executives at The United Center venue, where the Grammy Awards winner’s concert took place. It happened in December 2013.

“Long-time fans of Beyoncé” as they self-proclaimed themselves, state that they have been standing outside for hours in order to secure the best spots before the concert kicks off.

Eventually, as more and more fans started to arrive, the two advocate the crowd was “more anxious about how, when and where the gate(s) would be released and where ticket holders and fans were supposed to enter The United Center – none of which was explained.”

Furthermore, they suggest that the workers at The United Center opened the gates to the event “without instruction or any reasonable system to permit an orderly entrance,” and that the rushing mob” trampled them, knocked unconscious and left them with broken bones. They were admitted to hospital to treat, as they say, with multiple injuries.

Castellanos and Davidson claim The United Center, Live Nation executives and Beyoncé were highly negligent by allegedly not preventing the crowd from rushing fiercely towards the venue once the gate was finally opened.

The women are seeking an undisclosed amount in damages from all the three parties.
