Kate married her new director husband Michael Polish in a romantic Western themed wedding at a ranch in Montana complete with big blue skies and wide open spaces.
At age 6, she moved to San Francisco, then to Connecticut at 9, and to Cohasset, Massachusetts, at 14. It was at 14 that Kate, a champion equestrian, learned of a casting call for a movie about horses. Throughout high school, Kate presented academic excellence and was an honor roll student and a member of National Honor Society.
In her spare time, she volunteered with various non-profit organizations, including a Los Angeles program for physically challenged children who learn to ride horses with assistance.
She has different colored eyes, her left is blue, and her right is brown.
She’s a veteran member of the Appalachia Service Project. It’s a non-profit organization which sends groups to the Appalachian region to build and repair homes for families living there for 8 weeks each summer.
Michael Polish was born on October 30, 1970 in El Centro, California, USA. He is a director and writer, known for Twin Falls Idaho (1999), The Astronaut Farmer (2006) and Northfork (2003). He has been married to Kate Bosworth since August 31, 2013.
His twin brother, Mark Polish, has been his co-writer, producer, and even acted in the Polish brothers’ films.
Real-life daughter, Jasper Polish, appeared in his movie, The Astronaut Farmer (2006).
