Star of the reality television series The Real Housewives of D.C., Michaele Salahi suffers from multiple sclerosis, a vicious disease that has tormented her most of her adult life. For her, the silence and the hiding were one of the worst parts of the experience.
She disclosed in her book that came out back in 2010 that she suffers from MS, after almost 18 years of silence, saying that the fact she finally came clean about her disease made her feel liberated. For some reason, celebrities often feel that they have to hide their conditions.
