Philip Glass is one of the most famous and celebrated American composers of the past century, and his first cousin removed is Ira Glass, who is no slouch himself. Ira is a radio journalist and is also held in very high regard in his industry.
The two have actually collaborated in a way. Phillip wrote a couple of songs that Ira uses for the introduction of his This American Life radio program.
