12 Celebrity Secret Geeks

10. Felicia Day

Felicia is the founder of the YouTube channel Geek & Sundry, and is one of the most famous celebrity online gamers. In her song “Avatar”, she sings about the attachment of people to online characters and how they ended up disappointed when they meet in real life.

Well, it doesn’t get any geekier than that.

This entertainer and web content producer graduated from the University of Texas in 2002, with a double major in maths and music performance with an amazing 4.0 GPA. As if that was not enough, she minored in government, and was a Valedictorian of the College of Natural Science.

Day was a kid prodigy, as she’s played violin since she was two. She got accepted to Julliard to study violin, but chose to go to UT instead, with a full scholarship in violin performance. Yes, she’s a maestro! She was also educated to be an opera singer, and a professional ballet dancer who performed at concerts and competitions nationwide.

Oh, do we have to mention the fact that she was homeschooled her whole life and started participating in theatrical productions when she was very young as an actor and a dancer. She attended college at the age of 16, and finished as the best in class.

Apparently, sometimes she was too smart to compete with her peers. Also, that would explain her excessive nerdiness. The young internet entrepreneur was active at The University of Texas University Orchestra (UTUO), Theatre and Dance Department, Phi Kappa Phi, Mu Phi Epsilon, etc. The geek gamer is also a professional actress who has in numerous TV shows and movies, one of which was very successful, The Guild, which she wrote a screenplay for and produced it. It is probably the most significant show when it comes to gamers, as she was able to pass on her gaming experience to the script full of funny references.
