On February 29, 2012, Van Dyke married make-up artist Arlene Silver, 28 years after the death of his first wife. This was as he put it: “one of the smartest moves I ever made.”
At the time of their marriage he was 86 years old and his soon to be wife, Arlene Silver was only forty years old.
She was his make-up artist for many years but the couple met sex years before their marriage at the SAG Awards.
