10. Ivana Trump
Trump, a name that resonates with money and reckless behavior and annoying personality. A guy who inherited his money, squandered it and then got duped by Ivana, his wife.
In their divorce settlement she got over twenty million dollars (20.000.000,00) and subsequently went on to marry 35-year-old guy. Nice one Ivana.
Ivana Marie Zelníčková; was born on February 20, 1949 and she is a former Czech-American athlete, socialite, and fashion model.
In the early 1970s she earned a master’s degree in physical education from Charles University of Prague and then moved to Canada.
She didn’t remain there for very long, because she moved to New York in 1976 to promote the Montreal Olympics.
It was in New York that she met Donald Trump, son of prominent real estate developer Fred Trump.
Just one year later on April 7, 1977, Ivana married Trump in a lavish society wedding and soon “The Trumps” became leading figures in New York high society and business during that era, working on several massive projects (Grand Hyatt Hotel, Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resor and the Trump Tower).
They remained happily married, until the early nineties when rumors begin to surface that Donald was romantically involved with a former beauty queen from Georgia, Marla Maples.
Their divorce was finalized in 1992, and although there are only rumors about the settlement, because it’s confidential, here’s a couple of items:
- $20 million
- $14 million family estate in Connecticut
- $5 million housing allowance
- $350,000 annual alimony
- 49% of Mar-A-Lago, the family home in Palm Beach which also serves as a private club for the Palm Beach elite
