5. She’s Brilliant Under Pressure
Some people would defer their studies if they were one of the stars of a multi-million dollar franchise, but Watson soldiered right through. In 2008, she got straight A’s in all three of her A-levels, proving her proficiency in geography, English literature and art. Two years earlier, she received top marks in her GCSEs as well.
Emma Watson has proved herself to be as smart as her brainy Harry Potter role, Hermione. She received straight A’s on her A-levels in England’s high school finishing exams. Emma is really a dedicated student, as she worked really hard and she got the best results. Her GPA based on American grading system would be a 4.0 GPA. Wow all straight A’s.
That, of course, got the beautiful braniac into the Ivy League. She is about to finish her studies at Brown, and she also attended a year in Oxford. Acting in blockbuster cinema and attending the world’s highest-ranked universities probably does not get much easier even for a celebrity. You have to bust your hump …otherwise, these universities would not be among the best. And to get all straight A’s in the same time. Of course, she put her carrier on hold for a while, but still, as a multi-talented star, she is able to achieve so much in so little time.
Emma’s probably used to this lifestyle, since she and her co-stars were being tutored for five hours a day during the sets of Harry Potter.
Miss Watson said about her studies, “the idea of classes being pass/fail, make it sound as if you don’t have to work as hard, but it actually gives you the freedom to try out things that you wouldn’t be able to do if you had to get a certain GPA on your transcript. It lets you take classes that you wouldn’t otherwise. And it attracts a certain type of student: [someone] very independent who wants to take responsibility and control of what they’re learning. That really appealed to me, as well.”
