19. The Next Harry Potter?
Her next role will be in an upcoming mega-hit Queen of the Tearling based on a book trilogy that is yet to be released. The movie is already marked as one of the huge hits with a cast and a director that will make this the next Harry Potter. She plays a princess, ’nuff said.
JK Rowling’s Harry Potter spin-off trilogy is called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The book was published in 2001, and it was intended to be a part of Harry Potter’s Hogwarts textbooks.
Kevin Tsujihara from Warner Bros persuaded author Rowling to adapt the book for the big screen. This would be a more of an extension of Harry Potter’s world and a valuable addition to the franchise. We are sure the fans would love to see the trio again.
Rowling told actress Emma Watson, that she made the draft script in not more than 12 days. Rowling herself admitted that it was Kevin Tsujihara who took over the role of CEO at Warner Bros last year and who persuaded her to adapt the book.
“We had one dinner, a follow-up telephone call, and then I got out the rough draft that I’d thought was going to be an interesting bit of memorabilia for my kids and started rewriting,” she told the New York Times.
“When Kevin got the top job, he brought a new energy, which rubbed off. He’s a very engaging person, thoughtful and funny.”
“I always said that I would only revisit the wizarding world if I had an idea that I was really excited about and this is it,” said Rowling. It was previously announced that production should start in late 2013.
Also, there are more books connected to the Harry Potter franchise, so it is not impossible to see the beloved Emma Watson as Hermione Granger in more than three upcoming movies.
