10. Modeling Career
As beautiful as she is, Emma has received many offers from modeling agencies and the fashion industry. First it was Chanel, then Burberry, then Elle and finally People Tree. Designers are just desperate to get a hold of her, not so much because of her face and body shape, but pure grace.
Emma’s decision to take up modeling was a way for her to avoid being labeled as Hermione Granger.
The modeling agency Emma is singed to is called Storm, and though she was seen wearing Chanel to many public events, she is not the face of this brand. In 2008, it was reported Emma Watson will beat Keira Knightley as the face of the fashion house Chanel, but both parties denied this information. However, one of her favorite designers is Balenciaga.
Emma started modeling when she was only 15. She first appeared on the cover of Teen Vogue in 2005. When she came out on the first page, she was the youngest artist to be on the cover of the magazine.
In 2008, Emma took part in a Harper’s Bazaar photo shoot with UK’s top designers. Also, the young star was chosen by Burberry for the face of the brand for the fall/winter 2009-2010 collection. Mario Testino was the photographer for the shoot, and the photos were taken on the banks of the Thames.
It seems like Emma is not the only talented model in her family. Her brother Alex is also one of the male models in the Blueberry campaign.
Famous fashion photographers such as Karl Lagerfeld and Elle von Unwerth have worked with Emma Watson.
Men’s magazine FHM featured Watson in six consecutive years for Sexiest Women list. She started off in 2007, placing 98th according to the voters’ choice. In the following years she was 33rd, 47th, 29th, 23rd and in 2012, 64th.
