8. Edward Norton and Courtney Love

Edward Norton, the dreamy yet determined actor who captured the hearts of so many beautiful women, ended up dating Courtney Love. Kurt Cobain’s ex-wife, who struggled with many addictions and issues, was in a relationship with Edward for a couple years.
During that time, she quit cigarettes and drugs, supposedly. She dumped Edward to go to an outdoor festival headlining Oasis. He is now happily married and she is single. She actually dumped the movie star in the middle of a hike to Ben Nevis, where the Scottish festival was held.
The music star revealed, “I climbed Ben Nevis. I got halfway up, this was when I was dating a very respectable actor who’d gone to Yale, and I’d quit smoking that day for him, I quit everything.”
But, when she heard the sound of Oasis playing close to the mountain, she wanted to go there instead, and just left him to return to her old habits. Norton disregarded the troubled singer’s behavior and even proposed to her eventually. Nevertheless, their relationship fell apart in 1999.
The couple met and befriended each other on the set of People Versus Larry Flint, and Norton also became friends with some friends of her legendary late husband Kurt Cobain. Courtney was really into quitting her bad habits at the time, and thought Norton would fit this sober atmosphere she aspired to.
After their split, she posted absurd accusations on Facebook and Twitter against Norton. In a Facebook rant, she claimed Norton mishandled the finances of Kurt’s sister Kim Cobain. In one post she claimed the star lost her $ 300,000 in funds, but later posted she was wrong and misplaced the money.
A nice marriage opportunity, really. Lucky for Norton, he got out of the turbulent relationship.
