20. Ryan Leaf
While he was still doing his job as one of the best quarterbacks the San Diego Chargers have ever seen, Ryan Leaf was at the top of his game, and quite possibly at the top of his fame.
However, as things often tend to deteriorate once certain people reach certain levels of fame and glory, Ryan Leaf found himself battling a severe drug addiction. Moreover, he was no stranger to embarrassing and illegal situations such as breaking into his friend’s house to steal some Hydrocodone. He also did some jail time for it, 27 months to be precise.
Since his addiction proved too tough for him to handle – or at least, too tough to handle alone – Leaf decided it was time for a change and he retired to his parents’ home in Great Falls, Montana, with a plan to lead a more sober and simple life with his folks.
