15. Steve Jobs
The co-founder of the Apple Computer and the manufacturer of the original Apple I computer, Steve Jobs did it all while he was living with his parents. In fact, he made the first computer in his parents’ garage, and he owed a great deal of his craftsmanship to his father. Jobs was living with his folks in 1975 after a brief stint at Reed College and a trip to India the year before.
Jobs actually ran his computer business from that very garage for almost two years. In 1977, he moved to a ranch house in Cupertino, which he called Rancho Suburbia and got a proper office space. However, he would still frequent his parents’ house, often spending many days there in succession. Fun fact: Jobs was adopted, and his adoptive father taught him woodworking in that very garage.
