Many fans of the erotic novel Fifty Shades of Grey can finally feel relieved. Recent rumours about a dispute between director Sam Taylor-Johnson and the author of the novel over the upcoming movie have been dismissed.
Apparently, the director made changes to the story which British author E.L. James didn’t like, so rumours began circulating and indicating that James and Taylor-Johnson were in a dispute.
The source said, “E.L. James wants the movie to match the book exactly, but Sam has a different perspective. Sam is reminding E.L. she writes books and she makes movies.”
The rumours originally started when the movie’s release date was changed from this summer to next year. The change of date was enough for speculations to appear that the project was in trouble. Nevertheless, Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, who play the two main roles, have the right chemistry and are ready to do their best.
In addition, the author of the book dismissed the rumours by posting a picture of herself with the director in a funny pose.
“The Gloves are off…” was the caption of the picture posted on James’ Instagram page, where the pair is seen laughing and raising their fists to the camera.
