Elton John is the emperor of pop music. He’s been around for more decades than some people have years in business and he’s been putting out hit after hit since long before many of us were born. Perhaps the most stunning piece of info on Elton is that he had a Top 40 Billboard hit every year from 1979 to 2001. That’s 22 years!
And it is not like you could attribute his success to his good looks, like you might with some other pop acts. Elton was never the most appealing sight to the eyes. He always looked more like an overgrown baby with a weird smile, trying to hide behind big glasses.
Still, no one cares. Elton doesn’t care. We don’t care. As long as he makes great music.
