Madonna Louise Ciccone was born in Bay City, Michigan, attended the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance before dropping out and moving to New York City to pursue a career in modern dance. It might seem like ancient history now, but it marked the early beginnings of what defined her as an artist.
Despite her insanely busy schedule and worldwide popularity, Madonna has somehow found the time to be a decent mother as well, with her children highly praising her all the time. While traveling to Malawi as part of the Raising Malawi initiative, she adopted two children from the country, a boy named David Banda Mwale and a girl named Mercy James. Her other two children include son Rocco Ritchie and daughter Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon.
