A man of many talents, John Barrowman is yet another successful actor who is proud of his sexuality and who always dreamed of tying the knot with the love of his life. Since his partner Scott Gill is obviously a man, Barrowman believed he would never live to see his wedding day.
However, just days after California lifted the state’s ban on same-sex marriages, Barrowman and Gill decided to break the ice and be one of the first gay couples in the state to get married.
Here’s what Barrowman said about the day that changed his life forever:
“I started welling up when we said our vows. It was the same with our civil partnership. I think it was because I never thought we’d be able to do it. Scott and I felt completely different after our civil ceremony, like we’d made a big step. But after this I feel very proud, happy and chuffed. It feels right.”
