We have already mentioned Tom Daley, the famous diver who found the courage to come out on YouTube. Well, it seems that, even though people have praised him for being honest, Daley had no idea how the world would react to his confession. He said that he had done it on the social media platform because ‘people were constantly digging and asking questions’.
Although he had decided to come out as gay, Tom was ‘terrified’ of actually doing it. With the support of his family and friends, Tom realized he had nothing to be ashamed of and broadcast his video for the entire world to see. Just two days after he posted the clip, Daley was approached by an elderly lady in a wheelchair who had only words of praise for him and who said that his bravery helped her to accept her son’s sexuality.
