Eccentric and overly confident, Louie Spence once said that he could easily turn any straight man gay. However, in order to do so, the Pineapple Dance Studios star would first have to make sure that the man in question was completely wasted. To quote him:
“I think when they’ve had too many beers, possibly [I could turn them]. I have never had a straight man myself but I know lots of people that have.”
He also received negative press attention when he spoke about the first time he had kissed a woman, stating that ‘the girl tasted of digestive biscuits’. Apart from such a colorful description, Spence said that the experience had ‘put him off for life’ – despite the fact that science has confirmed that one does not become gay.
