You probably know Dean Geyer as Brody Weston from Glee, where he became part of the cast starting from the fourth season. The South African-Australian actor and singer was born in Johannesburg and since the earliest childhood showed a great interest in music. He wrote his first song “Change” inspired by his family’s move to Australia, where he attended an all-boys school in Melbourne.
Geyer appeared on Australian Idol where he finished third. Even though he didn’t win, he became hugely popular for his song-writing, singing and boyish good looks. In addition to his music career, he appeared on the TV show Neighbours in Australia, playing the role of Ty Harper. However, true international fame came with the role of Brody Weston, introduced in season four of Glee, where he initially played Rachel Berry’s love interest and then boyfriend. Thanks to the role, Geyer became a teen idol and his career really took off.
