Everyone remembers Marylin Monroe and deservedly so, do not get us wrong. However, back in the 50s and the 60s, there was another buxom blonde who was just as famous – the Working Man’s Monroe as she was also known – Jayne Mansfield.
She was an actress, although many people never saw any of her movies, and she was more famous as a sex symbol and someone whose life was constantly in the public eye. She was also the first actress to have a nude scene in a major movie.
Mansfield was in the car with driver Ronnie Harrison, her lover Sam Brody and her three children when their Buick collided with a tractor trailer. The children survived while all three adults lost their lives. There is a legend that Jayne was decapitated, which was repeatedly denied by official sources.
