16. Matthew McConaughey
Matthew has really went through a lot of changes during both his life and his career. He got pumped and starred in…not-so-perfect movies that really weren’t huge hits. Then he discovered that he can lose a couple of pounds, put on a troubled face, take a pack of cigarettes, a bottle of whiskey and be the absolutely perfect role for True Detective.
But before that, Matthew also had his share of crappy jobs that marked his life. While he was living in Australia as a Rotary exchange student, his job was to clean and tend to chicken coops. Yeah, Matthew actually did that. And not only that, he also washed dishes in local restaurants for some extra pocket money.
He doesn’t regret any of it though, claiming that it was exactly those trips are what left a deep impression on him, and will remain that way while he lives. So, guess we all gotta find a chicken coop of our own to experience an epiphany and become famous actors. Thanks Matthew!
