11. Jerry Springer
Everyone would expect that Jerry, being the host of one of the most popular TV talk shows, would know a lot about talking to people. And then everyone would expect that it’s exactly what constituted his first jobs. He got his education at Tulane University and Northwestern University’s college of law before he made a swift shift into politics. And he proved to be failry successful at it too.
Immediately in 1968 he jumped into the political world as an aide to the presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy. Unfortunately, Kennedy was assassinated, but Jerry then joined a law firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. His charisma and intelligence were noticed straight off and he joined the Cincinnati’s city council in 1971, at which time he was only 27 years old.
Later on, after a rollercoaster of a scandal revolving around him paying a prositute with a personal check, he was elected mayor of Cincinnati at the age of 33. After that, he was a commentator and anchor for local station WLWT before The Jerry Springer Show made its debut in 1991.
