Nicole LaValle (nee Polizzi) a.k.a. Snooki is one of the most famous former cast members of the popular reality TV show Jersey Shore. After the show ended, Snooki had a number of high-profile appearances on various TV shows and also starred in a Jersey Shore spin-off, Snooki & Jwoww. Snooki is one of the few cast members of Jersey Shore who, although considered true “guidos” are not exactly of Italian heritage.
Snooki was born in Chile and adopted at the age of six months by an Italian-American couple from New Jersey. She spoke on several occasions about the fact she was adopted, and expressed no desire to find out who her biological parents are or to reconnect with them. She said that her (adoptive) parents were her real parents and that her biological mother and father must have had a good reason to give her up.
