13. PETE WENTZ
You may not know him by his name, but you definitely know his music – Pete Wentz is the bassist, primary songwriter and occasional singer for Fall Out Boy, one of the most successful rock bands of the last two decades. Wentz is also a businessman (he owns a clothing company called Clandestine Industries), as well as a writer and an actor.
A few years back, while Fall Out Boy were still topping the charts, Wentz revealed in an interview that he had been struggling with depression for most of his life.
He has been seeing therapists since he was six years old and using medication since he was seventeen. The depression has always been there in his life, sometimes lighter and more tolerable, and sometimes very severe. In fact, he almost committed suicide by overdosing on Ativan on two occasions. However, with therapy and the help of his friends, family and now-ex-wife Ashlee Simpson, Wentz seems to have finally overcome his issues.
