5. Jessica Lange
Jessica Lange, one of the greatest actresses of her generation is a Minnesotan through and through. She was born in Cloquet and she spent much of her childhood discovering Minnesota towns and cities as her family moved around. To boot, she is of mixed German and Finnish ancestry.
Jessica was discovered by legendary producer Dino De Laurentiis in the 1970s and her first role came in 1976’s King Kong. Her golden years came in the 1980s when she earned most of her Oscar Nominations and won two. And then, she sort of disappeared. Well, not really disappeared, but sort of fell off the A-list.
She concentrated on theatre work until American Horror Story became one of the most popular new TV shows in 2011. Since then, she’s been scaring the living hell out of people in different roles on this anthology series.
