20. Steve Zahn
Born in a family of mixed German and Swedish ancestry, Steve Zahn is Minnesotan through and through, born in Marshall and spending some of his childhood in Mankato before his family moved to a Minneapolis suburb.
As far as we are concerned, Steve is one of the most underrated Hollywood actors in the last two decades, almost always putting in incredible performances in movies that often flew under the radar for some reason. He has also done his share of indie movies, earning himself a cult following of sorts.
One movie that showcased his incredible talents to the fullest has to be Rescue Dawn, directed by that crazy German, Werner Herzog. Leave it up to Herzog to show us how underused an actor can be for the most part of his career.
