You might know R. Kelly as the famous American singer, songwriter, rapper, record producer, and former professional basketball player, but there’s a slightly bigger chance you know him because of his leaked sex tape from 1999. Or you might know him from the rumors of how he illegally married then-15-year-old Aaliyah, even though both parties denied it. R. Kelly was also accused of rape several times and was even tried in court for some suspicious claims regarding child pornography.
But all that falls out of focus when you remember the battery incident at a Lafayette health club. Namely, Kelly and his entourage attacked a group of men, resulting in one of the victims, Christopher Mahoney, needing 110 facial stitches after the incident. A hundred and ten stitches, in what way and how many times do you hit someone for them to need that many stitches on their face afterward?
