When you take all things into account, it seems that Kobe’s one of the good guys. He has had no charges of battery, assault, manslaughter, thievery, drug possession, none of it. He does, however, have a stain in his history – a 19-year-old woman accused him of raping her.
It was during the summer of 2003, Bryant had checked into The Lodge and Spa at Cordillera in Eagle County before undergoing a knee surgery nearby. The accuser claimed Bryant raped her in his hotel room the night before he was to have his surgery. Bryant, in fact, admitted to sexually engaging with his accuser, but firmly denied the rape accusations.
The whole case somewhat tarnished his reputation, and his endorsement contracts with both McDonald’s and Nutella were terminated.
