You might remember Tim Allen for being the star of family-friendly flicks like The Santa Claus or ABC’s television show Home Improvement. He also voiced Disney/Pixar’s Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story trilogy, and he currently stars as Mike Baxter in the Last Man Standing TV series.
What you might not know or remember is that, back when Home Improvement was first on air, a criminal stigma closely followed the comedian-actor, seeing as he was involved in a 1978 drug trafficking arrest at Battlecreek Internation Airport. And don’t think that he was carrying a joint for personal pleasure, he was caught with over a pound of cocaine.
Allen was forced to provide all the names of fellow drug dealers in order to evade a life sentence and reduce it to a few years in prison.
