13. Wesley Snipes
When you look at any of Wesley Snipes’ movies and see what kind of macho man he is, you probably think he’s on this list for smashing some skulls or shooting somebody. But nah, Wesley’s actually a good guy, and all he did was engage in some tax evasion – he was charged with a count of conspiring to defraud the United States. And we all know how sensitive the States are when it comes to cases like this.
Snipes caused some media havoc by strongly arguing that the government pursued his case solely to make an example of him because of his fame. His charges were mostly met with high fees, but he was eventually sentenced to 3 years in prison. Snipes served his sentence without any incidents, except that he was denied an appeal hearing, and was released in 2013.
