19. Tom Hardy
When most people say that dogs are their best friends, they don’t really mean it. When Tom Hardy says that he loves dogs, you can bet your life that the Mad Max star loves dogs.
We love him because he refused to go to drama class unless his very first dog, fatefully named Mad Max, was allowed to come with him. He was heartbroken when Mad Max died and placed a cardboard box with his ashes on Max’s favorite place on the couch. He even thought about putting the ashes in a pillow.
There are so many interviews in which Hardy speaks about his deep love of dogs that it’s pointless to mention them. What’s not pointless is the fact that he has saved numerous dogs from certain death and either adopted them or found them loving homes. He is also one of the fiercest dog rights advocates out there and uses every chance he has to urge people to adopt rescue dogs, give pit bulls a second chance and stop grooming poodles (seriously). We would be lying if we said we were not impressed.
