When you come to think of it, celebrity dogs have never been surrounded by scandals and controversy. That is, until Johnny Depp and his wife Amber Heard decided to smuggle their adorable Yorkshire terriers Boo and Pistol into Australia.
Some of you might remember that the country’s Minister of Agriculture, Barnaby Joyce, threatened to actually euthanize the teacup pups because the couple failed to declare them on customs. Boo and Pistol left Australia unharmed, and Joyce was, believe it or not, proud of threatening to kill two 6-inch dogs.
Though it may seem funny now, Australia was pretty offended by the whole situation, which ended up with Heard being charged with smuggling. We have no idea what’s going on with the case, but it’s obvious that both Depp and Heard love their dogs pretty much.
