When One Million Years B.C. came out in 1966, the world became obsessed with Raquel Welch. And really, even today it is hard not to become transfixed with Raquel in that fur bikini. The movie is a total mess and ridiculous by most standards, but it is impossible not to notice Raquel, whether you are a man or a woman.
Back in the 60s, she became an instant sex symbol. Over the years, she remained one of the most beautiful people in the world and in addition to this; she became something of a feminist icon too, mostly thanks to Hannie Caulder, one of the rare westerns with a female lead.
Raquel is 75 this year and it makes us scratch our heads in disbelief. She is still every bit as sexy as she was in the 1960s and we will fight anyone who claims differently.
