The time when we thought of Mel Gibson as a cool, funny, nice guy is long, long gone. Pretty much sealed in the 1990’s. The Australian actor had one meltdown after another since that era, and it’s pretty difficult to decide which one takes the cake, but it’s probably the time his phone conversations leaked and the world saw Gibson for what he was – a horrible misogynistic, sexist racist who also loves making awful anti-Semitic remarks.
In the late 2010, Gibson was involved in a bitter custody battle with his then-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva. Over several tapped and leaked phone conversations Gibson unleashed a sea of incredibly profane insults towards his ex and also towards immigrants, Mexican people, African Americans, Jewish people, gay people, you name it. Of course, you can be sure he used the most politically incorrect terms possible. And remember, this wasn’t his first time. He had several encounters with police for DUIs and those too were laced with some incredible profanities and sexist remarks.
