The famous chef, who was once the shiniest star on Food Network, fell from grace of television producers, big company endorsers and the public in general after the lawsuit regarding racial and sexual discrimination was filed against her in 2013.
During the lawsuit the Queen of Butter, as they call her, was accused of making derogatory remarks about people of African descent, and it was later revealed that she’s not a racially sensitive person in general. For instance, she talked about throwing a “plantation-style” wedding reception for her brother with black servants, and there were rumors of her frequently using the N-word.
Deen lost almost all of her big endorsements but recently started her own network. As for a real and proper meltdown, she had one during Dancing with the Stars in 2015, when she broke down during rehearsal, crying, complaining about exhaustion and lamenting about being abandoned many times.
