4. Evander Holyfield
Holyfield might have earned plenty in the ring, but it’s his activity in the bedroom which has helped him towards his financial downfall – paying child support for at least 9 children.
During his career, Holyfield gathered some serious cash – at least several hundred million dollars. Today, he’s basically flat broke. So what happened? Well, first of all, the boxer has quite expensive taste, especially when it comes to real estate property. His mansion in Atlanta, which went into foreclosure in 2008, has as many as 109 rooms. What does one do with 109 rooms? Just imagine the help and maintenance expenses for that.
Second, Holyfield has fathered many children – nine of them. He has to pay child support for all of them, and that’s probably not cheap. Finally, it was rumored that the former champ made several pretty lousy business deals that cost him a lot of money.
