11. Michael J Fox
Michael J Fox is star of the iconic Back to the Future series and measures only 5’4” tall. This tiny man with a child-like voice has forbidden his children to drop out of high school for Hollywood, urging them to finish it and even attend at least one or two years of college before pursuing their careers.
He’s a devoted vegetarian and has written a book called “Lucky Man” describing his life with Parkinson’s and other things he has to deal with.
For him “family is not an important thing. It’s everything.”
About his life in comedy (mostly) he spoke on The Michael J. Fox Show in 2003,
“My view of life is colored by humor and looking at the best in any situation. One of the things I love about the show is that it gives me the opportunity to tell people who have disabilities or different challenges that they deal with, that you can step back into life. You can be a part of life. You just have to allow for the facts of your situation. Instead of hiding that or being in denial about it, put it out there. That’s what I’m doing.”
He is one of the few little men who talk about his shortage of inches publicly, he stated, “When you’re a short actor you stand on apple boxes, you walk on a ramp. When you’re a short star everybody else walks in a ditch.”
