8. Tim Minchin
Tim Minchin is a another declared atheist on our list. He dedicated an entire show to mock religion and the notion of God. Minchin seems to have a problem with the way the Church discriminates against homosexuals, spreads prejudice and claims that the Bible is the only thing that can provide a person with moral guidance.
He is also known for believing that the existence of aliens is more probable than that of God. He caused quite a stir when he wrote a song for a Christmas CD which aimed to collect funds for a church.
Many believers took offence as Minchin’s song, which appeared next to many famous carols, had insulting lyrics and was labeled disrespectful. Adding even more insult to the wounds of conservative Christians, Minchin will play Judas in the rock musical Jesus Christ Superstar.
