John Malkovich, an actor, fashion designer, director and producer, is a declared atheist despite his Croatian roots. His ancestors were Catholic, as are most people in Croatia, but Malkovich does not see much logic in the story of an almighty being looking down at us from the sky.
He does not, however, deny the possibility of a greater power. It should be added that Malkovich’s lack of faith does not have anything to do with his willingness to help those in need.
Malkovich saved the life of a 77-year-old man who fell down on the street and cut his neck by applying pressure until the emergency responders took the old man to the hospital. John Malkovich is, therefore, another living proof that people do not need religion to help others.
