Jodie Foster, most famous for her portrayal of Clarice Starling in The Silence of the Lambs, has openly stated she is an atheist on many occasions.
Still, despite being an atheist herself, Foster celebrates all religious holidays regardless of the religion they belong to, and will allow her children to choose their religion when they grow up. If this does not show enough respect for any and all beliefs out there, it should be pointed out that Foster also spends a lot of time studying religious texts.
This clearly shows that she has made an educated decision when it comes to choosing a religion (or choosing not to believe), and relies on science rather than faith, at least until the existence of a God or any other higher power is scientifically proven.
