Howard Stern is an American producer, author, comedian, actor and a photographer. Despite being raised in a Jewish family, he has often been labeled as a ‘self-hating Jew’ for renouncing his faith and declaring himself an atheist.
Being a comedian among other things, Stern manages to put a great spin on his lack of faith and make it a thing of comedy, mocking even the religion of his parents, and the ridiculousness of the Jewish rituals.
He has read the Bible, and characterizes it as a book for children – with every little thing about the world being explained in such a simple way you would normally use to teach a child something. This must have angered the leaders of various religions, since it does sound pretty condescending.
