Emma Thompson is a British actress, author, screenwriter and a comedienne. Although this famed actress celebrates Christmas, she does not want to have anything else to do with organized religion, as she is actually afraid of those organizations.
She does not agree with the religious system, nor with the Bible and the Koran, and has made that very clear over the years. Given that she is also a self-proclaimed anarchist, it does not come as a surprise that she would question any and all authority figures and organizations, and be quick to dismiss them and even fight them if necessary.
She does, however, agree with the moral principles of the Christian religion and believes that applying them would do people a world of good. Besides opposing religion, Thompson is an active member of many charity organizations.
