3. Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen

There’s no mistaking that both of these twins are superstars in their own right – in fact they’ve been sharing the spotlight since the very young age of 6. They were once even the richest teenagers in the US.

Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Fuller Olsen (born June 13, 1986), maybe better known as the Olsen Twins, are American actresses and fashion designers. Their acting debut was as infants playing Michelle Tanner on the television series Full House. At the age of six, they began acting together in TV, film, and numerous video projects, which continued to their teenage years. Through their joint company Dualstar, they have joined the ranks of the wealthiest women in the entertainment industry at such a young age.

As the twins have matured, they expressed greater interest in their fashion choices, with The New York Times declaring Mary-Kate a fashion icon for pioneering her signature (and now worldwide popular) “homeless” look. The style, often referred to by fashion judges, bloggers and journalists as “ashcan” or “bohemian-bourgeois”, and it is similar to the boho-chic style that was well popularized in Britain by Kate Moss and Sienna Miller.

You can see them wearing oversized sunglasses, boots, loose sweaters, and wide flowing skirts, with an aesthetic of mixing high-end and low-end pieces. The twins were also tapped as the faces of high-end fashion line BadgleyMischka in 2006.

The Olsens have launched their own couture fashion brand, “The Row” In 2007, they launched Elizabeth & James, a contemporary collection inspired by many of their unique vintage items in their personal wardrobes. In 2008, the sisters took a little turn in their joint career and published the book Influence, a compilation of interviews with many of the most prominent people in the field of fashion. In August 2013, the Olsens launched their new fashion line in Oslo, Norway. And things are looking good for them.
