Jonathan Joseph “Jon” Heder (born October 26, 1977) is an American actor and filmmaker. His film debut came in 2004 as the title character of the comedy movieNapoleon Dynamite. He has also played in The Benchwarmers, School for Scoundrels, Blades of Glory,Mama’s Boy, and When in Rome, and provided voice in the animated movies such as Monster House and Surf’s Up, and his hit Napoleon Dynamiteanimated series.
The world loves Napoleon Dynamite so much that we keep a backup one around. But, not many people know that Jon Heder has an identical twin brother named Dan Heder. Odds are that these two get up to some hilarious hijinks together, mostly tricks on unsuspecting people who kept wondering ifthere’s two of them?
Jon grew up in a big family, with four brothers and a sister, and perhaps this is the reason why he’s so involved in humanitarian work. He recently visited Japan where he learned the language and tried to help those in need.
They grew up in a Mormon family in Oregon, attending Brigham Young University and ended up in the entertainment business. Jon became instantly popular for the titular character in “Napoleon Dynamite” and Dan animated the hit film “Monster House.” The two own a production company called Greasy Entertainment.
Fun trivia: both Jon Heder and Efren Ramirez could have their twin brothers play their roles in the middle of “Napoleon Dynamite” and you probably never would have noticed it. That’s because they both have an identical twin brothers.
“People ask, ‘Can I get your autograph?'” theNapoleon Dynamite star said about his not that famous sibling. ” And they’ll ask him and he’ll say no and it makes me look like a jerk.”
