There never is a case when losing a child is not tragic, but it seems that the case is a lot more tragic when the child is incredibly young. Such was the case for Eric Clapton, who lost is son when the boy was not even five years old.
The legendary blues guitarist said that it is still a very painful issue for him that he does not like talking about. Of course, most people know that his hit song, the beautiful “Tears in Heaven” was about the death of his son.
His son Conor was staying at a Manhattan building with his mother when the accident occurred. A cleaning lady had been in their room previously and had left a large window open after finishing her tasks. The boy later climbed up to the window and ended up falling to his death. They were on the 53rd floor of the building and he ended up falling on the roof of a four story building next to it and died on impact. The window was huge, six feet high and four feet wide, and there was no window guard on it.
