20. Juvenile
The rapper Juvenile knows all about loss. He grew up on the meanest streets of New Orleans and has lost a lot of friends and family to street and gang violence over the years. That is why he became a rapper, so that he could get his family out of the situation and provide a safer life for them.
Unfortunately, he could not protect his daughter from violence, regardless of the fact that they had left the ghetto. She was only four years old when she was killed by her 17 year old half-brother. His name was Anthony Tyron Terrell and he went on a killing spree, killing not only young Jelani, but also his mother and 11 year old sister.
Juvenile said that nothing helps but time. He said that you need a lot of time with yourself in order to cope with such a loss, but that it never really goes away and haunts you for the rest of your life.
