Married for 29 years, this couple has said that remaining independent is the key to a great marriage. The couple has four children.
Hoffman is 17 years older than Lisa. Dustin first met Lisa, the daughter of old family friends, at a barbecue her parents held, when she was 10 and he was 27.
It wasn’t until after they were engaged years later that he found out Gottsegen had made an announcement that day:
‘We were walking in Central Park with her grandmother, and she turned to Lisa and said, “Do you remember what you said to me that day after he got up and walked away? Grandma, when I grow up I’m going to marry him.”?’
Many people still wonder how they have managed to make it work all these years.
